Alex, Photography and Etsy.com

1. Alex is doing much better. She is bed rest for about a month and has to wear a fitted back brace. The school is sending a tutor for 1 hour per day to keep her caught up. We had already bought a ticket for her to come visit Marc 14th, I think we are going to have to post pone the trip...

2. I have been trying to learn more about photography and how to use photoshop. The more I read into it, the more I find out how much there is to learn. Kind-of like the Bible. Below are some picture of a precious, little girl that I babysit. Her name is Annika.

3. I have discovered Esty.com, a place to buy/sell home-made crafts and vintage items. I have also figured out how to make those cute baby cocoons that you see in a lot of newborn photography. They are pretty easy to make, I know everyone says that but they really are. While I was babysitting, I tried to get a picture to post of Esty so I can try and sell one....Babysitting and practicing photography wasn't as easy as I thought. The baby in the picture is Annika's new baby sister, Autumn. (Shan - I think this may give away the surprise)

I know it isn't the cutest picture, she looks a bit frighten but I only got one sot so I had to go with it.

Prayer Request

She is Okay but this morning my younger sister, Alex (17), was in a car accident. She was on her way to school and took a curve too fast especially under the slippery condition. She lost control adn then over corrected. She was thrown from the car after hitting a tree. Fortunately, only compound fractures on her vertebrate have been discovered at this point. They are keeping her overnight to observe her vitals. Praise the Lord she was not injured anymore, it could have been a lot worse since she wasn't wearing a seat belt. (And please wear your seat belts!) She is mainly overwhelmed with everything and upset that they had to cut her pants. (teenagers!) It was actually Matt's mom, Sherry, who is a EMT, who was on the ambulance call so I think that calmed her down some and comforted her.

Please pray for her healing, ability not to get behind with school so she may graduate in May and for the financial situation it has now put her and my mom in. My mom is single and Alex has been working to help pay for her needs, I am assuming that she will be out of work for awhile. I do not know how the insurance will play our since the Truck was totalled, nor anything about the health insurance at this time. It was their only vehicle so please pray that things will be worked out quickly, so my mom has transportation to and from work.

Baby Leggins

Some mom invented baby legs to keep her little one's leg warm but also to make it more convenient when changing diapers...either way, they are the cutest on Sadie's chubby little legs!

Turkey Day

Sadie's first Thanksgiving. We celebrated with the Minor family and the Matthews (Hallel was still cooking in her mommy's tummy!). It was my first time to cook, I got a corn bread dressing recipe form Matt's mom and fortunately everything turned out pretty good, especially Stacy's homemade pumpkin pies!

Busy Saturday and Mara Grace

Today (Sat) has been a pretty busy day (fortunately all things that I enjoy doing). This morning we had a play group with our Church, Hillside, at The Marin Civic Center (I will post pictures from that soon), then Y and I went and had pedicures together. I felt like I was on top of the world. The bath salts, lotions, messages....oh man....it has been months since I have had my toes painted. Y is an elderly lady (Wynonna is her real name but she goes by Y), who we have been helping with errands and groceries as a side job. She is 90 but you wouldn't know it. And very interesting, very well traveled and intelligent. I learn something new every time we get together. Today, I learned that she was once a pilot! She flew a plane as a volunteer during the WWII, searching for submarines along the east coast. (in just a 2 seater plane!) And then would fly for fun on the weekends doing acrobatic tricks. I told her, that I would have peed my pants. After that we had a few people over for our Lane BBQ, it was a Korean-American-Infusion and the meat was delicious. (thanks angie!) As we were hanging out, I stole Mara from her Parents to take some pictures of her because she is one 0f the prettiest, little babies that I have ever seen. (Mara is the one that I watch on Thurs nights) Below are my favorites. To end the night, I babysat for a new family, whose childrens name's are Zoe and Zander! Which the are the names of another family who we became friends with through babysitting, here in Mill Valley.....what are the odds of that?? And the mom's name is Kelly. I am looking forward to getting to know them bc the little boy Zander is just a few months older the Sadie and so far they seem to enjoy each other...and they are both beautiful children. (hopefully I can steal them away for some pictures!)

Now and 6 months ago

She really has changed a lot and is scares me. Please Slow done Sadie! She has more hair and More personality.
Her New things: she knows were her nose and belly are. She can say shoes. She loves baths and not having cloths on. (she will stick out her stomach and rub it and just laugh) She runs. And runs from us anytime we are trying to changes her diaper, put her shoes on or just pick her up. It was cute the first couple of times. She loves going outside and ridding in her waggon (thanks Bryce). One time, I walked into our room to put something up and I heard the front door hit against the wall. I was the only one home with Sadie so I ran to the living room, apparently I didn't shut the front door all the way and she opened it and was half up the stairs right outside our house. I about had a heart-attack.
