my little grown-up

I just had a blast at Sadie's one Year old photoshoot with photographer, Shannon. {I will post the link to view her Photos when she is done editing them} You should contact her for a shoot! Anyways, She let me sneak some practice shots in between my ridiculous peek-a-boo and silly faces attempts to keep Sadie's attention. She is a busy be...Over all she did good with showing her personality, Especially when we brought out the cake. Lindsey Let us borrow Grace's Tutu and now I think we now have to get one...she looked too precious. Thanks Shannon!

Oh She loved the Cake! Look at her digging in!

Life is a Gift

Life Is a Gift
Today before you say an unkind word - Think of someone who can't speak.
Before you complain about the taste of your food - Think of someone who has nothing to eat.
Before you complain about your husband or wife - Think of someone who's crying out for a companion.
Today before you complain about life - Think of someone who went too early to heaven.
Before whining about the distance you drive Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.
And when you are tired and complain about your job - Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job.
And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down - Put a smile on your face and think: you're alive and still around.

This is how The human brain often works when our status changes: Only a very few remember what life was like before, and give back.

The bridge we had to walk across to get to the lighthouse. It was a little scary.

Picasa and FMTs

If you haven't noticed, I just discovered Pisaca. It is super easy and a blast creating all the collages...which I think brings a more interesting look to the pictures and events. And it makes it easy to post my favorite pictures with out making you scroll down for an hour! You should try it www.picasa.com. There are also a handful of editing tools, which is helpful since my 30 days of Lightroom II is up!

And I finally posted another Friday Morning Thoughts.....okay so maybe I should change the name to occasional thoughts.......

(post a comment with your email if it doesn't let you)

Santa Cruz Boardwalk

Posted by Picasa
Matt and I got a chance to get away for a night for our 2 year anniversary.... We camped at New Brighton State Beach and played at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. The boardwalk was a blast, you could ride the roller coasters and then go soak up the sun on the beach. Thanks Hews, Sarah, McClures, Tiemann's and Cunninghams for watching Sadie.

Alligator Park

Growing up there was a park about 10 minutes outside of town that my mom would always take us to, we called it the alligator park. There is a river that runs by it and small trails and a lake which always had a alligator in it. There was hardly ever anyone else there when we went and it was my favorite place to go so I couldn't ever figure out why...(I still do not know)..but it was cool to have the whole park to ourselves at times. At one point while Matt and I were still dating I told him about my favorite childhood park, the Alligator park, and he said that he had one too, the Planter's Point Park that his mom would take him to and that no one was ever there.....as we described the parks we found out that our favorite childhood place was the exact same.
All this to say, we took Sadie with Matt's sister and all of her cousins, while we were in Texas. It still is a really cool park. It has slides in the side of a hill, wooden walking paths, little doll house and yes an Alligator!

Sadie ate dirt, apparently she is craving iron according to her Grandma Sherry
