country kitchen before/after

It's no completely finished but finally have a clean functional kitchen! Besides the L shape wall Matt put in for a fridge, its was really just cleaning, sanding, a little dry wall and paint......makes a huge difference on a small budget.

Update 2013

I can't believe its been almost 2 years since we have been back in the states and I have blogged anything. It has been a very crazy, busy, hard, growing period in our lives. But I am going to try and start loging more of our memories so we can have this to look back on in the future and to keep up with my long distance friends. ;)

As of now.....after nanny-ing 3 additional kiddos for a year (many posts to catch up on that adventure!) I have felt lead to go back to school and obtain my Nursing Degree. I would love to have this skill for future work with Sex Trafficked victims. I am almost done with my sciences and start the program FT in June....yikes.

Matt is now wrapping up his associates in construct management {you know a bachelors, masters, then associates...that's how everyone does it, right?}  and is working for a great company. We have dreams of flipping houses and using this to hopefully be able to work 6 months at a time in the US. And spend the other 6 months bringing awareness in South America....dreams.

Speaking of renovations, we bought a fixer-upper near family and have been living in a renovation zone for the last few months....ahhhh. Matt is doing a great job of getting this ancient house livable for us. Between our budget and schedule is it coming along sloooowwwly. But I can see light at the end of the tunnel.

Grace is our only Hope

Augustine: For grace is given not because we have done good works, but in order that we may be able to do them.
